Arrival and Dismissal

Ogden Valley Montessori School is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with before school care offered 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM and after school care from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

Morning session of class runs from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and afternoon session runs from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Please do your best to ensure prompt arrival and departure for your child’s benefit as well as that of the staff. Promptness in a child's life is very important. Children who arrive late, or who are picked up late, feel awkward and uncomfortable. Late arrivals also disrupt the smooth running of the class and can interfere with the child's ability to settle in to the work cycle of the class.

The school allows a 10-minute grace period at pick-up time, after which a late pick-up fee will be charged at the rate of $1 for every minute a parent is late. In the case where parents have no control over conditions which will delay them, this fee will be waived. Parents are asked to call the school in advance if they know that they will be late for some unusual reason.

Parents must also send a note or call the office if they need their child to be picked up by someone other than those who are designated on their child’s registration paperwork. A picture I.D. must be shown if the staff have not yet met a person who comes to pick up a child.
