Our Faculty

Upper Elementary Program (ages 9 - 12)

     Nicole Householder, of Eden, UT, mother of one daughter, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Ecological Studies and Sociology from Seattle University, WA.  Nicole worked with preschool through fifth grade students at Open Window School and First Hill Childhood Learning Center in Seattle, WA. She also worked at the Old Firehouse Learning Academy, Eden, UT, and was a substitute teacher at Snowcrest Junior High School, Eden, UT.   Nicole has pioneered the Upper Elementary Program at Ogden Valley Montessori School.

 

Lower Elementary Program (ages 6 - 9)

     Amanda Scheuermann, of Eden, UT, is both the Director of Ogden Valley Montessori School and a Co-Lead Teacher in the Lower Elementary class.  She has taught Primary and Lower Elementary at OVMS since our founding in October 2002.  Amanda  is the mother of four children and holds a Bachelor's of Sociology from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.  Her energy and enthusiasm for the Montessori method are boundless.

     Nancy Lindeman, of Eden, UT, mother of three, is a Co-Lead Teacher in the Lower Elementary class.  Nancy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to OVMS, with 18 years as Director and Lead Teacher in Elementary and Middle School classes at the Montessori School of Covington, GA.  Prior to teaching Montessori, Nancy was a public school teacher for ten years.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education (K-12) from Oklahoma State University and her Master’s Degree in Education Leadership from the University of Illinois.  In addition to teaching, Nancy is certified by the Montessori Education Programs International (MEPI) as a teacher trainer for Early Childhood, Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary Montessori courses.

 

Primary Program (ages 3 - 6):  North Class

     Shanna Weaver, of Huntsville, UT, is Lead Primary Teacher.  Her background is in Home School Education, with emphasis on self-directed learning.  She earned her Certified Nurse Assistant degree from Ogden Applied Technology Center, and worked at a Retirement Home before joining our faculty.

     Chelsea Wilson, of Ogden, UT, returns as our Primary Assistant, a position she previously held for two years at Ogden Valley Montessori School.  A mother of two children, she took time out be with her children, and we welcome her return to our faculty.

 

Primary Program (ages 3 - 6):  South Class

      Linda Spallino, of Eden, UT, is one of our Lead Primary Teachers.  She has been a key substitute in the 2007-2008 school year, and has years of experience as a public school teacher

      Tara Parkinson, of Huntsville, UT, is Primary Assistant for the morning students.  She worked as our Toddler Assistant during the 2007-2008 school year, and has also been a Substitute for many of our classes.

      Brittani Bulloch, of Eden, UT, is Primary Assistant for the afternoon students.  Brittani is a student at Weber State University, studying Education and Social Work.  Her experience with children includes teaching at the Old Firehouse Learning Academy, Eden, UT, and being a nanny.

       

Toddler Program (ages 18 months - 3 years)

      Cindy Wahlen, of Ogden, UT, is our Lead Toddler Teacher.  This is Cindy’s second year teaching at Ogden Valley Montessori School, and she is an extensive pre-school teaching and Montessori background.

 

      Krista Curran, of Huntsville, UT, joins our staff as Toddler Assistant, after gaining Montessori experience as a Substitute at Ogden Valley Montessori School during the 2007-2008 school year.

 

 

 

Administrative Staff

 

      Patricia Dadkhah-Jazi, of North Ogden, UT, mother of one, is in her second year coordinating the administrative and curriculum development requirements of the school.
