Withdrawal and Dismissal

From the student's first day at school, both he (or she) and his (or her) parents are asked to support all the rules of the school as outlined in the Parent Handbook and in other communications to families. If, in the judgment of the child's teacher and the school Director, it is not in the best interest of the child or the school for the child to continue attending the school, withdrawal from the school may be the only alternative. If a situation arises, the following procedures (appropriate to the situation) will be used:

1. The classroom teacher will request a conference with the parent of the child.

2. If the situation continues, the school Director will observe the child and assist the classroom teacher with the situation.

3 The school Director and classroom teacher will meet with the child's parents and discuss the situation.

4. The school will request a full professional evaluation of the child within a specific time period.

5. In the case of a behavioral or disciplinary problem, the parents may be asked to keep the child at home for a period of time to be left to the discretion of the school Director.

6. If, in the judgment of the classroom teacher and the school Director, the child cannot be accommodated within the realm of the school and its philosophy, the parents will be asked to withdraw the child from the school.

The unused portion of paid tuition will be refunded in accordance with the financial policy of the school.

Should you choose to withdraw your child from the school for reasons of your own, we request 30 days notice.
